What to expect during your first visit with us
We want your dental visit at Karl and Hoffman Family Dental Center to be as quick and painless as possible. We understand how valuable your time is, and we make every effort to accommodate you. Here are a few pointers to help you get the most out of your time with us!
STEP 1: COMPLETE PATIENT FORMS
Fill out our patient forms online or print them out, fill them out, and bring them to your appointment. This will speed up the process when you arrive.
STEP 2: BRING INSURANCE INFORMATION
Please bring any relevant dental insurance information with you to your dental visit. As a favor, we would gladly file any dental insurance claims on your behalf.
STEP 3: ARRIVE AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Arriving 15 minutes early for your dental appointment allows us to resolve any difficulties with your dental insurance and/or medical history before your dentist or hygienist appointment.
STEP 4: PREPARE ANY QUESTIONS AHEAD OF TIME
Bring a list of questions or concerns for the dentist or dental hygienist to address. This will allow us to conduct a more thorough consultation, avoid any gaps in information, and effectively address your issues.
STEP 5: RELAX…
Our welcoming dental team will make you feel at ease as soon as you walk into our clinic. The dental hygienist will clean and polish your teeth, conduct a comprehensive examination, and take x-rays if you have an appointment with her. After that, you’ll be referred to a dentist who will review your x-rays and do a thorough examination of your teeth for symptoms of decay, as well as your gums for changes and other signs of oral cancer or disease.
The doctor will meet with you once the checkup is over to discuss your X-Rays and make recommendations to improve your overall dental health. If more treatment is needed, you will be given a treatment plan and a cost estimate. We’ll set up your next visit for preventive care or a procedure as part of your treatment plan.
